Seeking a dedicated individual to inspire and educate future innovators and problem-solvers. Part-time independent contractor position. Lead engaging, hands-on activities fostering creativity and critical thinking in children. LTYC values creativity, teamwork, and empowering young minds. Shape tomorrow's leaders and make a positive impact in the community. Salary range: $22 - $28 per hour. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement engaging STEAM/LEGO lesson plans for students. • Purpose: To foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in students. • Provide hands-on guidance and support to students during STEAM/LEGO activities. • Purpose: To ensure students' understanding and application of concepts. • Collaborate with colleagues to create a dynamic and interactive learning environment. • Purpose: To enhance the overall educational experience for students. • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to drive improvement. • Purpose: To track student development and tailor teaching methods accordingly. • Organize and oversee STEAM/LEGO events and competitions within the center. • Purpose: To promote teamwork, innovation, and a sense of accomplishment among students. Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in routine animal care in a zoo or closely related activity. • History of achieving and consistently exceeding personal goals. • Knowledgeable of GSuite (Google Docs) and ability to learn new systems. • Great conversationalist and email writer, with strong rapport-building skills. • Flexible schedule, willing to work weekends and evenings when necessary. Compensation: $22 - $28 hourly
