    Professional Search Group has partnered with a leading company to recruit a Steel Detailing Checker responsible for reviewing, checking, and ensuring the accuracy of final drawings. This role ensures all AISC standards are met and that project revisions are accurately reflected in the final documents.

    Steel Detailing Checker Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Maintain effective communication with the Job Captain and project team members.
    • Possess a strong background in miscellaneous metals, stairs, structural, and architectural detailing.
    • Review fabrication shop and field erection drawings for accuracy and compliance with AISC standards and project requirements.
    • Check drawings, including E-sheets and shop details.
    • Review design drawings for accuracy and completeness, coordinating resolutions for discrepancies or missing information with the project team.
    • Interpret architectural, structural, and other design drawings and specifications.
    • Review RFIs, bulletins, and other documents impacting scope changes.
    • Collaborate with project teams to ensure drawing accuracy and timely submission.
    • Review detailer drawing submittals, providing feedback and corrections before customer submission.
    • Check the TEKLA model for accurate connections, dimensions, materials, missing information, and weld symbols.

    Other duties may be assigned as needed.

    Steel Detailing Preferred Qualifications:

    • High school diploma/GED with 7+ years of experience in miscellaneous steel detailing.
    • Proficiency in Tekla Structures software.
    • Knowledge of building codes (IBC, ADA Title 24).
    • Familiarity with AISC standards and AWS codes.
    • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Extensive experience in miscellaneous metals, stairs, structural, and architectural detailing.
