We're hiring a SENIOR UX DESIGNER to help us reimagine and build the best possible experience for contractors in the marketplace. As part of our Technology Team, you'll be be based in either Dallas or San Francisco and participate in gathering insights about what contractors need, their sentiments and behavior while interacting with stellar systems and other actors in the marketplace to inspire and inform design.

From creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes, you’ll envision how contractors will experience our products, get real value out of them and bring that vision to life.

As a Senior UX Designer, you’ll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution. Through this journey, you will partner with cross functional product, engineering and business teams to continuously raise the bar by meeting complex tasks and processes with easy to use and intuitive interfaces for stellar contractors. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Develop deep understanding of the stellar marketplace contractors to create and enhance their experience navigating through various digital programs, applications and interfaces
• Use recent studies and findings to establish the best overall design elements to include in UX design experiences
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative, thoughtful solutions.
• Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and/or high fidelity prototypes.
• Create surveys for research through various media platforms or run user focus groups to gather feedback on user's ease of use and satisfaction interfacing on company websites and products
• Design the aesthetics to be implemented within a website or product, from the layout menus and drop-down options to colors and fonts allowing for interface edits as needed
• Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.
• Advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in product design or UX.
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
• Problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile (Android and iOS).
• Ability to lead and ideate products from scratch and improve features within a user-centered design process.
• Skills in communicating and influencing product design strategy.
