Qualifications
INFECTION CONTROL & PREVENTION NURSE (ICP NURSE) (REGISTERED NURSE RN OR LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE LPN): officially we title this job an Infection Control & Prevention Nurse, but in other centers it may be called a Safety & Infectious Disease RN, Infection Control (ICP) Coordinator or an Infection Preventionist.

These settings include Long-term Care Skilled Nursing (SNFs), Short-term Care Rehabilitation, Intermediate Care (ICFs), and Behavioral Health Service (SMHRFs) centers.
