We bet we’re the most unique, mind-blowing home furnishings retail store on Long Island and we’re looking for a store manager with a personality to match and help us grow. We offer a whole home design experience with a 10,000 square foot showroom featuring everything needed to make a home suite. Our products include window treatments, wallpaper, custom furniture, fabric, rugs, accessories, artwork, vintage & modern furniture, DIY paint supplies & so much more.
This position is perfect for someone who has equal right brain & left brain thinking. You love thinking outside the box & exercising your creative muscles, but also love to analyze a spreadsheet.
Here’s what you’ll take ownership for:
Train, coach, counsel & manage personnel in all daily aspects relevant to driving sales and running the business
Analyze, track and measure monthly business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives
Ensure store is running like a well-oiled machine each and every day while planning for the future
Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise presentations; signing, and assortment in all departments; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked. Maintain visual standards of the store, per merchandising manager directives
Create a warm, welcoming, inspiring, and enthusiastic on-brand client experience
Direct the receiving & shipping of product for the store
Who is this position for?
Someone who:
· Has a strong sense of personal style, loves interior design and basks in the details at a designer showhouse
· Has great time management skills
· Loves spreadsheets, KPI’s & analyzing data
· Is an excellent communicator and not afraid to have a candid conversation
· Can resolve issues independently
· Is highly organized
· Thrives in taking something from concept to completion including all the nitty gritty details
· Can accept responsibility and constructive feedback
· Has at least 2-4 years of retail leadership experience
· Is very comfortable with a computer, word, excel, Canva, and using a web browser
· Is self driven, passionate & really hungry to grow & shape your career in retail with a brand that will be an empire
· Is comfortable with tools, moving furniture & handy with a drill
Not essential but will push you to the top of the list:
· Has experience with window treatments
· Has experience with custom furniture & luxury goods
· Familiar with Lightspeed POS
· Familiar with Job Nimbus CRM
