Stormwater and Water Resources Engineer
Stormwater & Water Resources Infrastructure Civil Engineer (Chicago/Remote)
Are you an experienced Civil Engineer with a passion for water resource infrastructure design? We are seeking a talented engineer to join our Water and Environment Practice Group. This role is based in Chicago but offers flexibility for remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
\- Design and manage moderate to large water resource projects, including analysis, permitting, and preparation of construction documents.
\- Oversee small to medium-sized projects, track budgets, schedules, and deliverables, and coordinate with clients and vendors.
\- Perform watershed hydrologic modeling, dam breach analyses, storm sewer design, flood mitigation, and more.
\- Utilize AutoCAD/MicroStation, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and GIS for design and modeling.
\- Collaborate with structural and transportation engineers on waterway crossings.
\- Develop Engineer’s Opinion of Probable Costs and assist in project scoping.
Qualifications:
\- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (ABET accredited).
\- 5–12 years of experience in water resources or civil engineering.
\- Licensed Professional Engineer (or ability to obtain within a year).
\- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/MicroStation, and GIS.
