    Job Description

    Technomic is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Account Manager to join our dynamic team and manage a book of business within the foodservice industry. In this critical role, you will drive client engagement, foster long-term relationships, and ensure the successful retention and renewal of accounts. You will leverage our Ignite platform to maximize client value while collaborating with internal teams to deliver outstanding service.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Proactively manage and retain a portfolio of accounts, ensuring high renewal rates and strong, lasting relationships with clients.
    • Conduct regular business reviews, providing strategic insights and recommendations to help clients maximize the value of our Ignite platform and services.
    • Lead client training sessions on the Ignite platform, empowering them to utilize our solutions for enhanced business success.
    • Own the renewal process, managing smooth contract negotiations and ensuring client satisfaction with the terms and services.
    • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, product, and operations, to ensure a unified and effective approach to meeting client needs.
    • Manage a diverse set of accounts using Technomic’s suite of products and services through our Ignite research platform, the leading SaaS solution in the foodservice industry.

    • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and operations, to provide seamless client experiences.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects efficiently while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
    • A track record of achieving key performance metrics, such as client retention, renewals, and satisfaction.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years of experience in sales, account management, customer success, or marketing, with a proven ability to cultivate strong client relationships and drive exceptional customer satisfaction.
    • Understanding of the foodservice, food retail, and consumer packaged goods (CPG) sectors, including trends, challenges, and key players in the market.
    • Ability to sell solutions based on client needs, positioning research and data as valuable tools for solving business challenges and improving operational performance.
    • A deep understanding of customer pain points and the ability to provide tailored, actionable insights and recommendations to enhance their business strategies.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to simplify complex information and present it persuasively.
    • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, spot trends, and make strategic, informed decisions.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, while also thriving in collaborative environments and coordinating seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
    • Experience in client-facing interactions, delivering impactful presentations that engage and resonate with audiences.
    • Ability to build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in client organizations, ensuring a high level of trust and engagement.
    • A proven track record of building and maintaining lasting, trust-based relationships with clients.
    • Familiarity with foodservice industry trends, or a keen interest in staying updated on market developments.
    • Proficient in Salesforce or similar CRM systems, with solid experience navigating online platforms and databases.
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with a keen eye for detail and efficiency.
    • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
    • This role pays between $80,000-90,000, plus commission incentives.
