    Thriving, reputable publicly traded consumer products company is in need of a strategic minded and results-driven Global Product Sourcing Category Manager!

    The global team demonstrates category expertise and is focused on identifying the best opportunity to source for any region, delivering incremental value and external innovation back to the brand and customer.

    $140-$165K in Total Comp (base + annual bonus) + Sign-On Bonus!

    *Hybrid 3 days/week in office**

    This position will have a focus on packaging categories across North America and eventually for global expansion. The role emphasizes leadership, strategic decision-making, supplier relationships, cost savings, and the optimization of the global supply chain.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Global Sourcing & Category Management: Lead global, cross-functional teams in optimizing the supply chain across sophisticated packaging categories. Focus on process improvement, supplier collaboration, and material optimization.
    2. Cost Savings & Efficiency: Responsible for generating cost savings annually by optimizing supply chains, driving efficiencies, and reducing costs.
    3. Supplier Relations: Develop long-term strategies with key suppliers, fostering innovation and implementing supply agreements.
    4. Strategic Partnerships: Partner with teams in R&D, Packaging Engineering, Quality, Marketing, and Operations to improve sourcing strategies and product development.
    5. Risk & Market Assessment: Track and assess market conditions for key commodities, proactively working with suppliers to minimize risks and ensure favorable cost conditions.
    6. Innovation & Technology: Leverage supplier capabilities and global supply chain strategies to introduce new technologies and innovative solutions.

     

    Required Skills & Experience:

    1. Experience: Minimum of 7 years in procurement and sourcing, with at least 2 years focused on category management.
    2. Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
    3. Cost Management: Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings and improving supplier performance.
    4. Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic, analytical, and business planning skills to drive global innovation and efficiency.
    5. Supplier Management: Strong negotiation and contract development expertise, with experience influencing rather than making sourcing decisions.

    Education:

    • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
