    PRIMARY FUNCTION

    The Street Supervisor at Hart to Heart Transportation reports to the General Manager and supervises drivers and coordinates the day-to-day site operations of the Philadelphia location and its surrounding Metropolitan area. Responsibilities include the facilitation of strategies and tasks to ensure the location adheres to safety requirements and that the driver’s performance and scheduling is properly monitored. In addition, the role will assist in on-site training including ride-alongs and performing wheelchair securement certifications. Consistently coach staff, properly document and report on hours worked, material and equipment inventory and productivity. Respond to accidents and incidents, review and report on accidents and incidents, and make recommendations regarding appropriate action.

    PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Assist in conducting new hire orientation and initial driver training, including both classroom and on-road instruction.

    Provide appropriate road training and observation to ensure drivers’ adherence to policy and training procedures and compliance with key performance areas.

    Assess and monitor drivers based on customer service, passenger assistance, proper wheelchair/mobility aid securement, vehicle inspection, and more.

    Perform ride-alongs to observe drivers’ compliance with key performance areas.

    Respond to accidents and incidents while reporting them appropriately.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    High School Diploma or GED required.

    Valid driver’s license.

    Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation laws.

    Familiarity with route planning software is a plus.

    Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a logistics or transportation setting.

    Knowledge of principles and methods used for teaching and instructing individuals and groups and measuring the effectiveness of training.

    Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card issued by a company-authorized healthcare provider.

    Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills and abilities, including effectively leading, coaching, mentoring, and properly identifying staff’s developmental needs and helping to improve their knowledge and skills.

    Cooperative, energetic and enthusiastic attitude. Dependable, stress-tolerant and adaptable nature, with experience in a fast-paced, multifunctional environment preferred.

    Ability to draft reports, document findings, and procedures, and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

    Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, ability to work flexible schedules, including various shifts, weekends, holidays and split days off.
