Who are you? We are a baseball player development center with about 18K of new facility space and a large gym that needs to be built out. Our client focus: occasional elementary schoolers and primarily middle school, high school and college players who are looking to get to the next level whether is be D1, D2 or D3 colleges or training to make a JV or Varsity team in High School. We have several former pros who work with our crew and we need weekend warriors who can drop in early and train our athletes. Our culture is serving the obsessive athlete who wants to compete and perform at their optimal levels on field, whether baseball or any sport. We primarily have baseball players in our gyms but happy to expand to hockey, golf, basketball etc, all requiring speed training, agility drills, focus on small and large muscle groups. We have notable collaborations with outside organizations across the US and it is a great opportunity to expand your own knowledge and network with our ventures. We have been in business for about 3 years and moved locations recently to house our expanding clientele.

Job Summary
We are seeking a Strength & Conditioning Coach who can prioritize Baseball focused needs like speed, agility and power yet understand how strength and power play a defining role in everything we do. As a Strength & Conditioning Coach, we would like someone who will perform fitness assessments, design customized training programs, develop the athletic prowess of primarily baseball players (and other sports) and provide insights on injury prevention. Your primary goal is to help clients define their fitness objectives, on field needs to compete at higher levels and to understand how to communicate with players and parents alike. We are about tracking information and creating benchmarks to measure progress so a process is very important to us. We need someone who has a strong understanding of how the body works scientifically and can optimize strength, speed and endurance. The ideal candidate is a junkie for the gym, who wants to grow personally as we are constantly challenged with how to address juxtaposing needs: balance or power, strength or speed and when to rest or power through a program, professionally. We ideally would like NCSA-CPT certified coaches.
We can offer part time opportunities which will evolve into a full time position- a two way street and a potential win-win.
Responsibilities
Perform fitness assessments to understand each client’s current fitness level
Improve athletic performance of clients, ensure reduced injuries with solid communication
Create individualized/customized and group workout programs with specific goals and training routines
Demonstrate proper techniques on how to use equipment safely
Ensure that all gym safety standards and procedures are followed
Manage a book of clients with professionalism: consistent engagement, communication and delivery
Market to new sources, organizations, schools and colleges
Manager of a new Gym- long term goal: build a team of trainers and manage your team
Create different pathways/ identify creative ways to working out
Designing a new gym
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED required
College Education preferred
Current NCAA personal trainer or fitness instructor certification, NCSF-CPT certification desired
Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred
First aid and CPR certified
Versed in nutrition is an added asset
Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Creative, amiable, responsible, engaging, intelligent, capable, leadership qualities, consistent communicator, can sell and market.
Baseball, Football, hockey background with a sport team background- creates a better understanding of individual and team development.
