    D1 Training is a 5,500 square foot space located within the Michigan Sports Academy Fieldhouse in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The strength training space comes fully equipped with nine weight training stations, including squat racks, platforms, and Olympic barbells and weights. The forty-eight foot by ninety foot turf space includes all equipment needed to develop speed, agility, quickness, and metabolic conditioning with access to five full size courts as necessary. D1 Grand Rapids embodies a multi-disciplinary approach to delivering evidence-based training.

No gimmicks, no fads; we utilize trusted and proven training techniques used to build the world's best athletes and deliver them in age-appropriate programs led by our expert coaches. Nothing at D1 is random. Every workout, every day follows a strategic 8-week training cycle that is meticulously planned and backed by sports science.

    Job Summary

    At D1 Training Grand Rapids, we are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our elite team. As a coach, you will be responsible for designing and implementing sports performance programs tailored to athletes of all ages and skill levels, from youth to professionals. Your primary goal is to help athletes enhance their strength, speed, agility, endurance, body composition, and overall athletic performance while minimizing the risk of injury.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field(required).

    National Commission for Certifying Agencies(NCAA)-accredited Certified Personal Trainer or equivalent certification.

    Previous experience coaching athletes at various levels (youth, collegiate, or professional).

    Has a valid AED/CPR/First Aid certification

    Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with athletes.

    Passion for fitness, sports, and helping athletes reach their full potential.

    Previous customer service experience(preferred)

    Responsibilities

    Reduce an athlete's risk of injury by focusing on proper technique and movement patterns.

    Develop and lead personalized strength and conditioning programs.

    Conduct athlete assessments to track progress and adjust training accordingly.

    Provide hands-on coaching and instruction to ensure proper form, technique, and safety.

    Foster a motivating and supportive training environment for individuals and groups.

    Collaborate with other coaches and staff to maintain high-quality, results-driven training sessions.

    Stay current on sports science research and trends to continuously improve coaching strategies.
