SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct assessments of structural damage and propose sustainable repair solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop project specifications and recommendations.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, calculations, and reports.
- Participate in FEMA disaster recovery programs and contribute to the Public Assistance program.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to structural integrity and project plans.
Requirements
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience in a related field and professional registration.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience in a related field.
- Certification: Professional Engineer (PE).
- FEMA Training Preferred:
- IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility.
- IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation.
- IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step.
- IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process.
- IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals.
- 7116: Program Delivery Manager.
- 7117: Site Inspection.
- Work onsite in North Carolina.
- EOD Required.
