  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    As a Structural Engineering Intern on the Rail Bridge team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You’ll be part of a team, working for our clients on projects involving railroad bridges and supporting structures, with our most experienced engineers. You may be involved in a variety of tasks including basic project design through CAD drafting, and performing research. You may also travel to job sites for observation as needed.

    You bring to the team:

    • Strong communication skills.
    • Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
    • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Pursuing a degree in structural engineering or civil engineering.
    • The ability to work 10 to 20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer.
