We are seeking a seasoned Structural Engineering Area Lead with a profound experience in commercial projects and significant ties to the community.. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in structural engineering, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding and expertise in designing and managing projects that involve a variety of material types including post tension, masonry, and wood. Expertise in Revit and the Bentley tool suites along with a strong foundation in the latest engineering practices and technologies are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Lead the structural engineering department in the Orlando area, overseeing all aspects of project development from conception through completion.
Design and analyze structures to ensure they are efficient and stable under load conditions while adhering to project specifications, safety regulations, and building codes.
Collaborate with architects, construction managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Provide expertise in the use of a variety of construction materials, including but not limited to post tension, masonry, wood, and other relevant material types.
Utilize Revit and other advanced engineering software for modeling, analysis, and documentation of projects.
Mentor and develop junior engineers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulations to maintain competitiveness and compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering with a significant focus on commercial projects, including highrises and midrises.
Proficiency in Revit and a solid understanding of BIM methodologies.
Extensive knowledge and experience with a variety of construction materials, including post tension, masonry, wood, etc.
Professional Engineering (PE) license required. SE License preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
