Structural Project Engineer
Pay: $90k-120k/yr. (depending on experience and certifications)
Description:
Cannonball Recruiting is seeking at Structural Project Engineer to join the team on a full-time, direct basis and lead design projects at our Lehigh Valley office in the Bethlehem, PA area.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related technical discipline (i.e.: Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, etc.).
- 5 years of professional experience working in Engineering (preferably with Structural projects).
- Active P.E. license in PA (we will consider candidates who are able to successfully obtain their PE within 6 months of their start date).
Additional Qualifications (Preferred)
- Management and/or Project Management experience; proven ability to oversee multi-disciplinary projects is a plus!
- Experience working with assessment of existing structures as well as with the assessment & development of new building structures; experience working with Adaptive Reuse projects is a plus!
- Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g.: CADD, BIM, project management software, etc.); exposure to AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and/or Bluebeam Revu is a plus!
- Proficiency on basic office software applications, especially Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment on a variety of projects; this person will be expected to collaborate with our team while demonstrating a self-motivated demeanor and effective multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a variety structural design, renovation, and inspection projects for various applications: renovations, adaptive reuse, etc.
- Perform structural design & analysis of building structural systems for a variety of projects / types of building structures.
- Design, detailing, and analysis of structures with a variety of materials.
- Prepare calculations and drawings for reports.
- Develop finite element models for the analysis of complex structures.
- Collaborate as part of a team to develop structural construction documentation.
- Contribute to project coordination efforts as well as mentoring less-experienced staff members, when needed.
- Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.
