Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for leading a team of professionals in completing projects by a set deadline. Overall duties include managing subcontractors, adjusting schedules as needed, managing the budget, and maintaining relationships.
Major Activities:
- Liaison between our steel fabrication shop, general contractor, and on-site steel erector
- Coordinate structural and miscellaneous steel sequencing with appropriate personnel
- Set up and maintain delivery and installation schedule for all items within scope of work
- Write purchase orders as needed
- Write subcontracts to erectors
- Manage relationships with on-site steel erector
- Attend jobsite meetings needed
- Work with change order department to develop change orders as needed
- Work with the accounting department to make monthly pay applications
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractor
- Attend weekly project management meetings
- Update internal documents
- Manage the close-out process when project is complete
- Other duties as assigned
