*Structured Maintenance Technician will perform site surveys accurately measuring all floor layouts, applying navigation tape and geo markers within the data center aisles. The technician will work on various sites, ensuring the tape installation aligns with floor layouts and safety protocols. This position requires precise attention to detail, effective teamwork, frequent travel and the ability to remain on assignment at various sites for extended periods.

Responsibilities

· Conduct site surveys to measure data center floor layouts in preparation for tape installation

· Install navigation tape and geo markers accurately within designated aisles and areas according to site plans and instructions

· Adhere to safety standards, trade practices, and all relevant codes throughout the installation process

· Collaborate with Salute team members and Google management to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule

· Establish and enhance strong working relationships with various internal teams to streamline workflow

· Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to company protocols for documentation and reporting

· Operate hand tools and power tools safely to complete installations

· Work under time constraints while ensuring quality and accuracy of the tape installation

· Perform tasks at various locations, sometimes requiring long-term assignments from site to site

Requirements

· Proficiency in safe usage of hand tools and small power tools, with attention to safety procedures

· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions

· Ability to lift over 75 pounds and perform physical labor over extended periods

· 100% availability for extended periods of travel from one site to another

· Valid driver's license

· Basic knowledge of custodial and cleaning practices

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and site personnel

· Ability to work effectively within the coordinated team under time constraints

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with data center environments, including knowledge of layout planning and tape marking

· Experience with heavy-load movement equipment (pallet jacks, chassis lifts, etc.)

· Familiarity with physical IT infrastructure components

· Experience in construction or military service is a plus
