    Job Description

    We are seeking a friendly and supportive Student Services Advisor to join our team in Phoenix, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive guidance and support to students throughout their academic journey, ensuring their success and well-being.

    • Offer personalized academic advising to students, helping them navigate course selection, degree requirements, and career planning
    • Provide empathetic support and resources for students facing academic, personal, or financial challenges
    • Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement student success initiatives
    • Maintain accurate student records and documentation in compliance with FERPA regulations
    • Organize and conduct orientation sessions, workshops, and informational meetings for students
    • Assist with the development and implementation of retention strategies
    • Serve as a liaison between students and various university departments to resolve issues efficiently
    • Stay up-to-date with academic policies, procedures, and program requirements to provide accurate information to students
    • Participate in campus events and activities to promote student engagement and success
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
    • 2-3 years of experience in student services, academic advising, or a related field
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse student populations
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused approach to student support
    • Proficiency in student management systems and Microsoft Office suite
    • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
    • Knowledge of student development theories and best practices in academic advising
    • Familiarity with academic policies, procedures, and FERPA regulations
    • Empathetic and supportive attitude towards students' needs and concerns
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work occasional evening or weekend hours as needed
