Position Title: Student Services Operations Coordinator
Department: Student Services Reports To: Director of Student Services
Primary Location: Washington, DC FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Parameters: Full-time; 12 months/year Pay Range: $37,440 per year
Position Summary: The position assists with the daily operations of the Student Union, including building reservations, set-ups, and the scheduling of student employees. Initiates work orders and reports maintenance problems to Facilities. Work is performed under general supervision of the Director of Student Services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Student Union:
· Oversee and manage daily student union setup.
· Coordinate the scheduling of student union event use.
· Assists in updating Student Union policies and procedures.
· Assist in managing special events.
· Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized Student Union and other areas of the university as assigned.
· Responsible for enforcing all Department and university policies and procedures in matters related to the Student Union.
· Ensure all games are in working order; troubleshoot and report issues.
· Maintain sign in log for games.
· Monitor student access to Student Union
· Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma required, some college.
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, especially when collaborating with multiple departments within the university and exceptional customer service skills.
Willingness and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment; highly organized and be able to quickly adapt to change.
Working knowledge of general office equipment and experience providing high-quality service in a high-volume environment

Ability to work recurring peak periods of work, irregular hours, and short deadlines.
Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgement based on understanding or organizational policies and activities.
Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment, including related university software and email.
Work Environment: Work is primarily performed under general supervision in an office setting with appropriate climate control. Travel, early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required.
Physical Requirements: Essential functions of this position require: lifting, manual dexterity, ability to communicate.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; involves sitting majority of time; walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Mental Application: Utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, critical thinking, adaptability, and creative problem-solving skills are important.
