Location: Paradise Valley Community College, 18401 N 32nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85032 (100% Onsite) Contract Duration: 3 Months (until 03/2025)
Overview: Paradise Valley Community College is seeking a Senior Student Services Specialist to provide advanced program support, advisement, and workflow coordination. This role involves working closely with students, staff, and external agencies to ensure the effective delivery of student services programs and resources.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate student services projects, events, and activities.
Provide advanced advising and counseling to a cohort of students via in-person, phone, and virtual appointments.
Analyze and interpret program guidelines, laws, and regulations.
Evaluate admissions data, calculate fees, and administer scholarships or financial aid programs as required.
Track student progress, prepare reports, and maintain records.
Create, maintain, and update program materials, reports, and databases.
Train and orient staff members.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations while delivering excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and 3 years of advanced administrative or office support experience, preferably involving executive-level staff.
Equivalent education and directly related experience may be considered.
Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and modern office technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with student services processes, including enrollment and financial aid programs.
Experience with program coordination and workflow management.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations applicable to student services.
Special Requirements:
Must clear a 7-year background check and sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Candidates must be local to Phoenix, AZ, available for in-person interviews within one week of the closing date, and ready to start within two weeks of offer acceptance.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
Light work involving up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
Routine work in an indoor office environment.
