We believe in educating the whole child—nurturing each student academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Honoring every child's unique journey, we bridge home and school to foster a compassionate, empowering environment where students feel seen and valued.

Our mission goes beyond academics; we guide students to become resilient problem-solvers, compassionate community builders, globally minded citizens, emotionally intelligent leaders, and lifelong learners. Embracing mistakes as part of growth, we equip students to thrive in school and life—ready to make a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond.

    THE ROLE

The Student Success Coach at Heartwood Community School plays a vital role in supporting students who are struggling to self-regulate by equipping them with essential social-emotional learning (SEL) skills. Working one-on-one with students during moments of escalation, the Student Success Coach provides guidance, tools, and strategies to help students understand and manage their emotions, fostering resilience and positive decision-making. Our student success coach empowers students to develop the skills needed to succeed in both school and life. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and committed to Heartwood's whole-child approach, creating a safe, supportive environment that encourages each student's growth and success.

    • Provide individualized, in-the-moment support to students experiencing emotional or social challenges, equipping them with tools and strategies to manage emotions, build resilience, and make positive choices.
    • Develop and implement personalized intervention plans focused on self-regulation and social-emotional growth, collaborating with teachers and families to ensure a supportive and consistent approach across school environments.
    • Commit to continuous professional and personal growth through reflection, feedback, and collaboration, embodying the school's dedication to lifelong learning.
