Qualifications
Qualified candidates for the Student Wellness Coach position should possess the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field
- Previous experience in student counseling, coaching, or related areas
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in counseling and coaching techniques
- Experience with stress management strategies
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficiency in wellness assessment tools and software
- In-depth knowledge of mental health and wellness principles
- Understanding of student development and academic challenges
- Familiarity with campus resources and support services
- Empathetic and supportive approach to student interactions
- Ability to motivate and inspire students
- Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a National Wellness Institute Certified Wellness Practitioner or equivalent
- Experience working in educational settings
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement wellness programs
- Crisis intervention experience
