    Recovery Support Staff / Community Service Associate I (Full-Time)

    A Recovery Support Professional or CSA I is needed at an inpatient women’s substance abuse treatment center in Charlottesville, VA.

    Our client is a long-standing non-profit behavioral health organization that focuses on patients first, providing a full scope of behavioral health services to all ages in outpatient, inpatient, and crisis stabilization settings.

    This position is for their new residential substance abuse treatment center for women. The program houses 12 women at a time for up to 120 days, and if the patient has small children, she is allowed to have up to two babies staying with her (up to school age).

    Salary and Benefits

    • Starting hourly rate: $16.54 to $24.82 an hour (depending on experience)

    Responsibilities

    • 40 hours per week (full-time)
    • Work collaboratively with other treatment center staff to provide recovery support and education for residents
    • Complete and maintain training/certification for CPR, first aid and medication administration
    • On occasion will transport clients to appointments outside of the facility 
    • Scheduling needs may require you to work some evening and weekend shifts
    • Shifts are typically 4x10s

    Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Knowledge of CPR, First Aid, medication administration, alcohol and drug addiction, local public agencies and their functions and interrelationships.
    • Abilities to pass CPR and First Aid training courses and maintain certification and successfully complete Medication administration training
    • Work effectively with a wide variety of individuals, manage behaviors of clients reluctant to engage in treatment, work well under stress, work effectively in a crisis situation.
    • Full-time role (40 hours per week)
    • Virginia Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
