DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage client caseload. Intake screening and referral, individual and group counseling, assist with maintaining therapeutic milieu, maintenance of timely and accurate clinical documentation, case management and escorting clients for advocacy when needed. Referral to detox, short-term rehab; out patient treatment. Placement in long-term rehab. Dual diagnosis education and support; focused K2 reduction initiative.Some outreach work as needed and related duties as assigned.
HOURS:
Full-time; 37.5 hours per week
QUALIFICATIONS:
MSW or CASAC-T License required. LMHC or LMSW preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, knowledge of alcoholism treatment and familiarity with 12-step programs. Basic Computer Literacy required.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
This 103-bed men's shelter in Brooklyn serves a population suffering from multiple issues including mental illness, substance abuse and serious medical problems. The program offers the full range of case management services as well as on-site psychiatric and medical care. It also incorporates a workforce development component for men who can benefit from this service. The Lexington Avenue Residence is funded by the NYC Department of Homeless Services.
