ABOUT THE ROLE Position Summary As the Success Coordinator, under the supervision of the Manager of Workforce Development and Older Youth Services, you will collaborate closely with the Housing and Employment Specialist to design and coordinate programs that support college and career readiness for youth aged 16 and older. In this role, you are pivotal in planning and implementing Elev8 Baltimore's Pathways to Success Programming, as well as other workforce development initiatives. You will work in partnership with school leadership, faculty, and Elev8 Baltimore staff to develop and deliver programs that enhance academic instruction while providing students with meaningful experiences aligned with industry trends and student career aspirations. Your responsibilities will include managing programs such as academic support, After-school activities, and Summer programming.
Responsibilities
SITE COORDINATION and PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION
Collaborate with Elev8 staff and school personnel to facilitate academic and career-aligned programming.
Assist in meeting organizational and grant standards and expectations.
Plan and implement lesson plans aligned with program and grant outcomes.
Execute continuous improvement plans and site performance measures in alignment with the Youth Program Quality Intervention/Assessment.
Establish and maintain program partnerships
Co-manage field placements for participants, including paid internships and employment opportunities.
Support program recruitment efforts through school and community channels.
Work with school leadership and staff to ensure programmatic and academic alignment.
Assist with the distribution and collection of student enrollment forms, attendance rosters, consent forms, and evaluation data.
Manage facilities during program activities.
Oversee the distribution and clean-up of snacks, lunch (summer only), and dinner meals as needed.
Coordinate and plan community meetings and portfolio presentations.
Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly calendars of activities and special programs to managers and school leadership.
Plan and facilitate training sessions with the support of the manager and external partners.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities, including national training sessions to enhance program performance and staff growth; availability for periodic overnight travel is required.
COMMUNICATION AND DOCUMENTATION
Establish and maintain communication with members of the school staff about student progress and aspects of the programs.
Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
Maintain all required documentation including, but not limited to enrollment forms, case notes, daily attendance, formative and summative assessments, participant surveys, student snap shots, etc. in alignment with grant and organizational standards.
Provide verbal and written reports to the manager.
Agency/Team Cohesion
Responsible for facilitating and attending mandatory departmental meetings.
Attend agency meetings and events.
Complete required training on time.
Maintain compliance with agency policies and procedures.
Prepare for and attend regularly scheduled meetings with supervisor.
Uphold organizational values related to race, equity, and liberation of people and communities of color.
Skills and Experience
Bachelors’ degree or Associates’ degree and/or a minimum of three years of relevant experience working with groups of young adults.
Strong verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field preferred.
Baltimore City residency is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to working in service of older youth, marginalized communities and communities experiencing the systematic effects of concentrated poverty.
Progressive experience directly supervising teams or group projects.
Previous instructional (public education system) experience.
Understanding of instructional best practices, common core state standards, graduation requirements, and post-secondary pathways.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (word, excel, outlook, teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.).
Experience using efforts-based case management software (e.g. ETO, Apricot 360, Salesforce, etc.).
Compensation: The salary for this position is $54,000 with full benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, generous paid time off, and support for professional development opportunities.
