Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW: The HR and Payroll Admin will be primarily responsible for providing financial and administrative services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations in the payroll and Human Resources department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources and accounting functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Maintain HRIS system and adding new hires into the HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping system
- Scanning HR paperwork into electronic system and maintaining physical HR files
- Creating new hire packets
- I9 audits and reverifying documents
- Administers payroll and benefits in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.
- Handles all aspects of payroll processing for 300+ team members, to include terminations, manual checks, garnishments, and child support.
- Collects payroll information, reviews payroll, and payroll-generated reports, to ensure accuracy. Assures timely and accurate team member pay, commissions, withholding and associated record keeping and legal compliance.
- Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
- Calculates, enters and audits hours and earnings each pay period and as needed for out-of-cycle checks.
- Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, taxes, insurance, from time sheets and other records.
- Prepares computer input forms, enters data into computer files, or computes wages and deductions and posts to payroll records.
- Tracks team member attendance, absences, sick time, vacation time and monitors attendance compliance with company policies.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1+ year payroll experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work independently, and follow through with deadlines
- Superior problem solving and critical thinking
- Ability to work collaboratively between several cross-functional teams
- Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to change and new processes
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
