SumBridge is hiring a Temporary Senior Accountant to support our International client in a fully remote role. This position is slated for a minimum of 3+ months and could likely extend longer. This role will be supporting operations focused in Asia and it is mandatory that the person in this position speaks Mandarin as frequent support and communication with operations in China will be required. Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of general ledger activity, identifying and rectifying miscodes or missing data to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Prepare meticulous financial statements accompanied by detailed explanatory notes, highlighting variances and providing meaningful insights for stakeholders.
- Monitor and oversee the progression of month-end financial activities, ensuring adherence to established timelines and compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform intricate reconciliations, meticulously investigate variances, and conduct thorough analyses of accounts, including intercompany reconciliations and month-end closing procedures.
- Execute precise and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Globally manage fixed assets and capital purchases, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with accounting policies.
- Work closely with project managers and various departments to guarantee the accurate tracking and reporting of project costs, providing valuable financial insights and support.
- Collaborate with third-party accountants to ensure the accuracy of tax filings.
- Assume responsibility for overseeing statutory audits within the APAC regions, with a specific focus on Taiwan and Japan.
Job Qualifications:
- Fluent in Mandarin and English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business degree with Accounting emphasis, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in maintaining meticulous and accurate files and documentation, adhering to accounting policies and accepted practices.
- Strong commitment to upholding a high level of confidentiality.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Deadline-oriented with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks.
- Experience and proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain professional working relationships with vendors and staff.
