Team Goldfish of Katy has an exciting opportunity for highly motivated professionals to fill the following Aquatics positions.
Jump Start Swim Instructor (without lifeguard certificate) Pay: $9.50+ Hour; 15-35 hours per week (Monday – Friday) Jump Start Swim Instructor / Lifeguard (with valid lifeguard certificate) Pay: $10.50+ Hour; 15-35 hours per week (Monday – Friday) Lifeguard (with valid lifeguard certificate) Pay: $9.50+ Hour; 15-30 hours per week
*Pay varies on experience. Additional shifts may be available to be picked up on weekdays or weekends.
These positions report to the General Manager/Assistant General Manager on duty. This position entails providing swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. Candidates enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and interact with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills.

Applicants not available for skills tests and interviews will be considered only, if necessary, after the initial recruitment. Applicants who are out of town (i.e. away at college) may be interviewed via telephone or virtually.
Applicants with lifeguard certificate must bring a copy of your certifications with you to the interview or prove current class enrollment (Lifeguard and WSI candidates).
If you are selected for employment, all onboarding documents will be done online, and you will be required to attend a mandatory swim instructor training:
Training will take place in Mid to Late May. Actual date is TBD.
About You
You are someone who can provide a GOLDEN Experience and WOW! Customer Service. You effectively exceed customer needs by building productive relationships with students and taking responsibility for integrity, compassion, and trust. You actively participate as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals and produce quality outcomes. You are committed to our safety philosophy, and you take great pride in proactively managing time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently while accomplishing objectives and achieving goals beyond what is required.
At Team Goldfish of Katy, we hire friendly, forward-thinking problem-solvers who love what they do! In addition to possessing the ability to live out our core and functional values daily, candidates must possess the following requirements:
Ability to work with children
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Good physical condition and stamina required
Age requirements: 16+ years
Must be able to work weekdays consistently from end of May through early August 2022 with minimal time off. Time off must be schedule in advance.
Must pass background examinations prior to training
