At T-Mobile Secure Federal Operations (TSFO), we focus on developing innovative solutions for sensitive customers within the U.S. Government. The TSFO Finance and Accounting team provides organizational support for all financial activities. These activities include, but are not limited to analyzing financial data, performing monthly general ledger close, preparing financial statements, budgeting and forecasting, pricing negotiations, and supporting accounts payable activities.
TSFO offers a fast-paced environment that will grow your finance and leadership skills as you help craft our success. You will work across the different functions at TSFO and make a difference in how we do business. The intern will have the opportunity to learn various accounting processes, supporting U.S. Government programs and contracts.
This is a hybrid position required to be working in our Herndon, VA office at least 2 days a week.
Responsibilities
Work on various accounting processes and projects
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations in support of the monthly general ledger close
Ensure compliance with SOX controls and support internal and external audits
Develop cross-functional collaboration with multiple teams to support new deals and existing projects
Qualifications
Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a similar field
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Outstanding data analysis, organizational, and prioritization skills with a strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal, work ethic, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity; fast learner and self-starter
Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
At least 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the United States
US Citizenship (without dual citizenship) required
Must be able to obtain a US security clearance
T-Mobile requires U.S. citizenship for certain roles within the organization. This role requires U.S. citizenship. Individuals hired into this role will be required to submit documentation proving U.S. citizenship within the first 7 days of hire - failure to do so will result in termination.

Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location.
