Do you love glitter, googly eyes, glue sticks, and helping children bring their imaginations to life? Join the team at Jump! Gymnastics as a Summer Camp Arts & Crafts Counselor, where creativity meets confidence! You’ll lead campers ages 3–10 in fun, theme-based art projects that encourage expression and build fine motor skills—all in a positive, playful setting.
Camp runs from June 2 – August 15 with mandatory training starting May 27. If you’re creative, organized, and love working with children, this is the job for you!
POSITION DETAILS
Hours: 8:15am – 3:30pm (Monday – Friday)
Job Type: Part-time or Full-time | Seasonal/Temporary (May 27 – August 15) Exact hours may vary slightly
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Set up and lead 1-hour arts & crafts sessions for 3 rotating age groups
Use the weekly camp theme to create fun, colorful, age-appropriate projects
Help children with cutting, gluing, painting, and more while promoting creativity
Keep your area tidy and safe, and assist with materials prep and storage
Celebrate every camper’s artistic effort with smiles, high fives, and positivity!
DAILY SCHEDULE SNAPSHOT
8:15 AM – 8:45 AM: Coach arrival & preparation
8:45 AM – 9:15 AM: Camper welcome circle
9:15 AM – 12:15 PM: 3 (1 hour) rotations of Arts and Crafts with 3 different age groups
12:15 PM – 12:45 PM: Lunch
12:45 PM – 2:00 PM: Zen time / quiet play / movie
2:00 PM – 2:45 PM: Dramatic Play for Preschoolers and Card and Board Games for School Aged.
2:45 PM – 3:00 PM: Closing circle
3:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Cleanup and coach departure
Fridays: Stay until 4:00 PM for curriculum prep and decor setup
REQUIREMENTS
Must be 18 years or older
Must be available May 27 – August 15 (training starts May 27, camp starts June 2)
Able to pass a comprehensive background check
Experience with children and/or art instruction preferred
Comfortable leading activities and managing groups
Organized, creative, upbeat, and flexible
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to see and hear clearly 20 yards away.
Ability to provide sustained attention to students during class time in the gym.
Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb onto a spotting block to assist athletes.
Ability to spot a gymnast, including the strength to lift and carry at minimum 50 pounds.
Ability to move equipment, including the strength to push or pull at minimum 50 pounds.
Must have the physical ability to respond quickly to emergencies, such as evacuating children or performing CPR/first aid if necessary.
