Summer Camp Counselor: Gymnastics Coach

Do you love working with children and making a difference through movement and play? Join the team at Jump! Gymnastics as a Summer Camp Gymnastics Coach where fun meets fitness! We’re looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and responsible individuals to lead gymnastics activities during our Summer Camp.
Camp runs from June 2 – August 15 with mandatory training beginning May 27. If you're passionate about working with children, teaching gymnastics fundamentals, and creating a fun and safe environment, we want to meet you!
POSITION DETAILS
Hours: 8:35am – 3:20pm (Monday – Friday)
Job Type: Part-time or Full-time | Seasonal/Temporary (May 27 – August 15) Exact hours may vary slightly
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead and supervise small groups (6 children) during 1-hour gymnastics sessions
Help campers build coordination, strength, and confidence through fun, themed instruction
Encourage progress using positive reinforcement and movement-based games
Keep students engaged, safe, and smiling all day long!
DAILY SCHEDULE SNAPSHOT
8:35 AM – 9:15 AM: Coach arrival, prep & camper welcome
9:15 AM – 12:15 PM: Activity rotations (Gymnastics, Sports, Arts & Crafts)
12:15 PM – 12:45 PM: Lunch
12:45 PM – 2:00 PM: Zen time / movie
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Camp games / performance rehearsal
3:00 PM – 3:20 PM: Camper dismissal & coach departure
Fridays: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM Curriculum prep for the next week
REQUIREMENTS
Must be 18 years or older
Must be available May 27 – August 15 (training starts May 27, camp begins June 2)
Able to pass a comprehensive background check
Comfortable demonstrating basic gymnastics skills (cartwheel, handstand, rolls, etc.)
Experience working with children preferred
Reliable, upbeat, and enjoys being physically active
8:30AM-3PM
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to see and hear clearly 20 yards away.
Ability to provide sustained attention to students during class time in the gym.
Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb onto a spotting block to assist athletes.
Ability to spot a gymnast, including the strength to lift and carry at minimum 50 pounds.
Ability to move equipment, including the strength to push or pull at minimum 50 pounds.
Must have the physical ability to respond quickly to emergencies, such as evacuating children or performing CPR/first aid if necessary.
