Job Description
Under the supervision of the Summer Camp Manager, the Team Lead will assist in the supervision of cabin life and general operation of the Summer Camp Program. The major responsibilities of this position include the following but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
Oversee cabin schedules and operations
Mentor and assist counselors
Intervene in and assist with camper interactions
Follow and uphold all policies and procedures of Pathfinder Ranch
Assist with personnel orientation, evaluation, scheduling, and supervision
Maintain accurate program records and logs
Assist in the evaluation activities and resources on an ongoing basis
Ensure the security and safety of camp facilities, grounds, and equipment
Coordinate with other departments in program planning
Develop and coordinate camp activities, programs, and events
Disseminate all pertinent information to assigned employees
Communicate with the Program Manager all pertinent information in a timely manner
Provide positive public relations on behalf of Pathfinder Ranch and provide excellent customer service
Comply with Health and Fire Department regulations, organizational policies, and accreditation standards
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
18 years of age or older
Ability to work cooperatively on diverse teams and with a variety of clients
Ability to give, accept, and integrate feedback graciously
Sincere interest and ability to work with children in the outdoors
Willing and able to complete tasks both independently and collaboratively in a timely and accurate manner
Skilled at interpersonal communication in a variety of formats
Able to supervise staff in a supportive and responsive manner that cultivates a positive work community
Hold and maintain the following certifications issued by a nationally recognized provider: First Aid, Adult & Child CPR (at least 50% of the course must be in-person with a practical skills session). Preferred additional certification related to specialty areas such as: Lifeguard and/or Waterfront Lifeguard, archery, canoeing, challenge course, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous work experience within a youth-serving or recreational organization
Lifeguard and/or Waterfront Lifeguard Certification from a nationally recognized provider
Bilingual or multilingual
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs.
Ability to work a varied shift schedule in excess of 10 hours per day
Ability to traverse several miles per day on steep and uneven terrain in a variety of weather conditions

Compensation $680.00 - $780.00 per week
