POSITION: Children’s Ministry Evening Nursery Staff – Redeemer East Side DEPARTMENT: Children’s Ministry REPORTS TO: PM Children's Ministry Coordinator DATE: November 2024 + training prior to start date HOURS WORKED: 3 hours on Sundays evenings with potential for more hours to grow as the church grows (Must be available to work on Sundays) SALARY: $21/hr FLSA: non-exempt

JOB DESCRIPTION: Looking for a passionate individual to create a vibrant, gospel-centered environment that’s as fun as it is safe! Dive into action by playing on the floor, assisting with diapers/bathroom, all while bringing the energy and joy that makes our ministry shine. You’ll also have the chance to inspire and teach, making a real difference in each child's worship experience. REQUIREMENTS:

Must be available on Sundays evenings from from 4:15 pm PM to 7 PM

Arrive on time each Sunday evening

Attend mandatory training sessions each year to review policies & procedures. This is to help build community so that as a staff we can continue to serve RedeemerEast Side kids safely and effectively.

Must be flexible and willing to serve in different classrooms as needed.

Give at least 2 weeks notice prior to being absent. If ill, please notify the PM Children's Ministry Coordinator

No more than 6 absences per year (including sick days) and no more than 3 absences in a row.

Work on Easter plus at least one Sunday during the winter holidays (around Christmas/New Year's).

Work on Lessons and Carols Sunday (typically the third Sunday in December)

A commitment to serve 1 year from start date.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Heart for God, families and children.

Must be able to lead and take charge of the classroom; level-headed when the classroom environment is stressful with children who are upset.

Must be able to talk with parents and lead volunteers in the classroom.

Must be a team player and have character qualities such as integrity, wisdom and good judgment.

Warm and engaging personality that is welcoming to parents and children, especially those children who may have difficulty separating from their parents

Must pass Redeemer background check
