    Wholesale fuel distribution is our key focus at Sunoco LP. We distribute more than 10 fuel brands to approximately 9,200 convenience stores across the United States. Sunoco fuel is our premier fuel brand and is a brand built on innovation and quality. It’s well-recognized among racing enthusiasts worldwide and is the world’s largest manufacturer and marketer of racing fuels, distributing gasoline to more than 500 racetracks worldwide. It’s the official fuel of NASCAR, NHRA, INDYCAR and 50 other racing series in the United States. Because of our vast network and infrastructure, we can customize our offering based on consumer demand. In addition to Sunoco fuel, we also offer Texaco, Exxon, Valero, Diamond Shamrock, Shell, Mobil, Phillips 66, Conoco, Citgo and Chevron fuel.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Career-starting position in supply & trading analysis, providing supply/demand research support for traders, measurements of operating and financial performance, and pricing support for marketers.

    Ideal position for recent college graduate.

    This role requires strong numeracy. Work travel is minimal and is not a customer-facing role.

    Core Responsibilities: 

    • Provides day-to-day support to company’s trading team, operations and marketers
    • Monitors and evaluates supply/demand factors, maintains supply/demand balances for global, domestic and regional markets 
    • Monitors and evaluates market trends, arbitrage opportunities and related pricing mechanisms with the goal of identifying trade opportunities 
    • Designs and implements appropriate tools to perform analytical and surveillance activities

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Science or Engineering
    • College-level coursework in Statistics and/or Econometrics (candidates may be tested on this)
    • Coursework or keen acquired knowledge of basic Economic principles
    • Competency with Microsoft Excel (may be tested)
    • Demonstrated skills in acting independently, effectively handling multiple assignments, high degree of initiative, diplomacy, professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive matters (references will be checked for these attributes)
    • Detail oriented
    • Dependable
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

    • Travel required (~50%) as needed to support projects and other initiatives.
