    Job Description

    SUNPRO SOLAR is looking for a COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR/AHJ REGISTRATION SPECIALIST. In this role, you will report to the Compliance Manager. You will be responsible for supporting the Lead Compliance Coordinator/AHJ Registration Specialist.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Complete business license and registration applications with local jurisdictions, as required
    • Keep a record of licensing progress and set follow-up tasks to ensure timely completion.
    • Renew licenses as needed well in advance of expiration date
    • Compile applications with relevant eligibility data (ID, work history, copy of license and verification, check, etc.)
    • Communicate with government offices, insurance companies, company staff, licensed qualifying individuals, licensing agency via phone, email, web searches – including follow up on statuses of all relevant paperwork.
    • Compile associated documents and save in company database(s)
    • Track all licenses and registrations, ensuring that Sunpro is in compliance and licensing is current
    • Input Registration and Licensing data into internal database(s)

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES, AS NEEDED:

    • Research, understand and communicate safety and compliance requirements relating to current products, new product categories, and sales expansion to new regions nationally.
    • Research, understand and communicate compliance requirements relating to product and installation safety regulations.
    • Support continuous improvement and cost savings projects by ensuring that product compliance is maintained.
    • Monitor changes to regulatory and agency requirements and recommend actions required to maintain compliance with active products.
    • Ensure that records to support compliance are maintained.
    • Support the investigation and problem solving for compliance issues.
    • Provide input for strategies and processes to assure safety and compliance policies are current and applicable.
    • Work collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure effective execution.
    • Assist in drafting compliance and privacy policy and procedure documents as needed.
    • Support regular business audit processes to identify compliance and privacy risks and ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations; Identify gaps and contribute to developing project plans to mitigate identified risks.
    • Develop training materials, identifying target audiences, and deliver specialized training.
    • Research, analyze, and evaluate changes in applicable statutes, rules, regulations, and other compliance standards. Prepare reports and other summaries related to the impact of new and existing requirements.
    • Track and manage required documentation (reports, forms, filings, etc.) for applicable state agencies/governments, privacy regulations, and contractual obligations.
    • Research, development, and compliance regarding state rebate programs, utility rebate programs, and jurisdictional permitting, if needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    SKILLS:

    • Coordinated, organized individual with an aptitude for record-keeping and database management.
    • EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE WITH LOCAL BUSINESS LICENSING AND REGISTRATION IS PREFERRED.
    • Well versed in contractor verbiage.
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Computer skills a must!
    • Comprehension – Able to analyze resources and decipher compliance requirements.
    • Experience with Salesforce, Excel, Nitro, Outlook, Microsoft Word
    • Patient and diligent! Must be willing to go after the information when necessary and know when to wait for the right time to act.
    • Kind individual – coercive
    • Trustworthy – Able to handle personal information and sensitive data.
    • Ability to obtain notary.
