Job description
Oversees the daily construction activities at a work site.
Responsible for the overall progress of the project as well as the scheduling of workers and the delivery of equipment and materials.
Works with contractors to complete project within the given budget and time frame.
Resolves contract disputes and arranges any necessary order changes.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Ensure job sites are clean at end of day and ensure all equipment is properly secure for the night
Follow instructions to ensure safety of entire crew
Carry materials and supplies from trucks to job site so they are ready for installation or other tasks
Test equipment and machinery to ensure it is in good working order
Perform all duties assigned by the Construction Manager
Sample Construction Worker skills
Ability to complete work on time and on budget with minimal supervision
Experience on a construction crew preferred but not required
Advanced organizational skills
High school diploma/GED preferred
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Able to pass drug and background screening
Willingness to learn construction skills on-site
Must be able to pass a workplace physical conducted by Concentra
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $52,000 to $85,000 per year + performance based bonuses
