SMG Talent Partners is partnering with a growing GC in Kentucky to help them find talented Superintendents to join their team. The ideal candidate will have commercial/industrial construction experience and a track record of success.

Responsibilities:

• Create schedules to monitor daily progress
• Must demonstrate an understanding of site logistics, site safety and construction operations
• Coordinate meetings with engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
• Conduct pre-construction planning and project site meetings
• Conduct plan of the day meetings
• Work with Project Managers to create budgets and forecasts
• Maintain budget tracking
• Review and approve craft worker certifications and trainings for specialty craft roles
• Develop and implement a site utilization plan and establish crew sizes
• Maintain professional relationships with all visitors (customers, subcontractors, etc)
• Actively be involved in trade shows and association events
• Experience self-performing drywall and/or concrete is a plus
• Oversee work crews:
  • Coach, support, and train field personnel
  • Encourage an environment of teamwork
  • Identify hiring needs and participate in hiring/firing activities
  • Develop potential leaders through task delegation and mentorship

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience
• Experience in a supervisory role
• Microsoft Office and Project proficiency
• Bilingual is a plus but not required
• Current driver's license
