Butterfly Staffing is seeking an experienced Superintendent/SSHO (Site Safety and Health Officer) serving their federal client for this Direct Hire opportunity. Their expertise spans secure-mission critical projects, historical renovations, sustainability, and LEED initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction management, a strong background in safety and health compliance, and the ability to oversee complex projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on-site management and coordination of construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, particularly EM 385-1-1.
• Interpret and manage project schedules and drawings.
• Identify and mitigate construction hazards.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and federal clients.
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce safe work practices.

Superintendent Duties:

• Serve as the SSHO that meets the requirements of EM 385-1.
• Ensure that the requirements of 29 CFR 1926.16 are met for the project.
• Work at the site at all times as the designated SSHO to implement and administer the Contractor's safety program and Government-accepted Accident Prevention Plan.
• Meet the SSHO required training, experience, and qualifications in accordance with EM 385-1-1 Section 01.A.17.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years in construction, including 5+ years as a superintendent on similar projects.
• Expertise in EM 385-1-1 and safety compliance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
