Fresh Farms Market, a family-run supermarket in Bloomfield, Connecticut, is seeking an experienced Supermarket Manager to join our team. We pride ourselves on providing a friendly and welcoming environment for both our employees and customers. Full-time supermarket management experience required. The position is physical. If you love lifting, being in constant motion, and working in a fast-paced environment, this is the job for you! Our management team works hard to put our associates first and uphold our family-oriented culture, advocating for our associates and addressing their issues with urgency. This is a must. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee daily operations of the supermarket, ensuring a high standard of service and product quality. • Manage and train staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. • Implement strategies to enhance customer experience and drive sales. • Monitor inventory levels and manage supply chain operations to ensure product availability. • Work closely with the ownership team to develop and execute business plans and marketing strategies. • Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth. • Manage and work in all departments. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to stand for 8+ hours a day, bend, twist, reach, climb, squat, push, pull, and regularly lift & carry 50+ lbs. • Must be able to work in cold conditions. • Must be able to handle all grocery food products. Qualifications: • Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a supermarket or grocery setting. • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. • Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising best practices.
