  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Abramson Labor Group is seeking a highly motivated, well-qualified Supervising Attorney to join our Workers’ Compensation team. The Supervising Attorney will report directly to the Managing Partner and are supported substantively and administratively by a large team of paralegals and support staff.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assisting the Managing Partner in duties including:
      • Conducting client educational webinars
      • Preparing for bulk settlement conferences
      • Evaluating case value
      • Giving guidance on complex cases
      • Accountability for meeting Workers' Compensation department metrics
      • Holding regular meetings with current associates
    • Mentorship:
      • Guiding and mentoring senior attorneys into their role
    • Case Re-Evaluations:
      • Authorizing settlement below initial floor
      • Advising on increased demand when live negotiations are required
    • Responding to client inquiries that require attorney negations and moving matters towards resolution
    • Providing direction and guidance to non-attorneys as needed
    • Trial participation as needed
    • Attending hearings when an attorney’s presence is needed
    • Assting associates with challenging client interactions
    • Team Player:
      • Bringing positivity to the workplace and leading non-attorneys by example
      • Participation in team events during work and after work hours
      • Providing feedback to management to ensure ALG performs the best it can for our clients
    • Other duties as assigned by managing partner and/or operations manager
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Comfortable with fast-paced work environments
    • 12+ Years of Workers’ Compensation experience required
    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Career mix of Applicant and Defense Workers' Compensation experience (preferred)
    • Candidates must be in good standing with the California State Bar
