Job Summary

To supervise Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) working in an AFC Urgent Care in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

Supervise the exiting PA and APRNs working in the urgent care

Allow an advanced provider to prescribe or order a drug or device while acting under adequate supervision

Review requisite amount of charts and medical records

Ready to assist the providers with any patient or clinic related queries

Setup meetings with clinic providers as required

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Board Certified/Board Eligible – Emergency Room, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine (w/ER or UC experience)

Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family

Active and current medical licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required

Ability to multi-task and work independently
