    Job Summary :

    The Supply Chain Director will oversee and optimize all aspects of the supply chain for our Bluehouse operation. This role will be responsible for managing procurement functions company-wide, ensuring efficient warehouse and inventory management, vendor relations, and logistics operations (inbound and outbound). The Supply Chain Director will also identify opportunities for supply chain improvements, lead a high-performing team, and drive the development of this critical department to support business objectives.

    Job Description :

    Core areas of responsibility are:

    1. Procurement Management:

    o Oversee the procurement function across the company, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services.

    o Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet operational needs and align with company goals.

    o Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and maintain long-term partnerships.

    1. Warehouse & Inventory Management:

    Ensure efficient management of warehouse operations, including storage, organization, and distribution of inventory.

    Develop inventory control procedures to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste or overstock.

    Utilize technology and systems to improve inventory tracking and reporting.

    1. Vendor Management:

    Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliability and quality of goods and services.

    Monitor vendor performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.

    Regularly evaluate and onboard new vendors to meet evolving business needs.

    1. Logistics Oversight:

    Manage inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.

    Optimize transportation and distribution processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

    Works with freight forwarders and transportation companies to set best route and rate (reviews and approves all freight terms and agreements).

    Address and resolve any logistics-related challenges promptly.

    1. Strategic Development:

    Identify and implement opportunities for supply chain improvements, cost reductions, and process efficiencies.

    Collaborate with other departments to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.

    1. Leadership & Team Development:

    Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

    Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching.

    Ensure the team has the necessary tools, training, and resources to succeed.

    Skills, competences, and knowledge to perform the work

    Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field. MCA or advanced degree preferred

    10+ years of experience in supply chain management, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.

    Proven track record of leading and developing teams.

    MS-Excel proficiency is a must as well as knowledge and experience in handling automated PO processes and warehouse control (CMMS, Dynamics 365 technology as an example)

    Solid organization, analytical and time-management skills.

    Strategic thinking and the ability to align supply chain operations with company goals.

    Results-driven with a focus on achieving operational excellence.

    Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

    Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.

    Ability to work in complex multi-tasking environments

    Constant desire to learn and grow.

    Work Environment This job operates in a combined office and farm/production and construction environment.

    Schedule General work schedule is Monday through Friday with some flexibility. Based on the nature of this role, standard hours may exceed 40 hours a week.
