    Seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer Intern with a strong foundation in mechanical and electronic principles. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with various tools, proficiency in SolidWorks, and excellent communication skills.     What your day might look like:

    A day in the life of our Manufacturing Engineer Intern is diverse and hands-on. You'll start by learning how to assemble, test our instruments and then we’ll review a list of projects available to find the right fit. Throughout the day, you might find yourself:

    • Assisting or leading in the design and modification of product components and full mechanical/electric assemblies using SolidWorks
    • Collaborating with engineers to troubleshoot manufacturing issues on the production floor
    • Using various tools to prototype or test new designs/fixtures
    • Documenting and reviewing processes (work instructions, etc.)
    • Participating in brainstorming sessions for product/testing improvements
    • Shadowing experienced engineers to learn about different aspects of manufacturing and/or help as needed

    Your day will be a balance of computer-based work, hands-on tasks, and interpersonal communication, providing a well-rounded learning experience in the manufacturing field

    Our ideal candidate is a proactive and enthusiastic individual pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. This person should possess:

    • Strong academic background with coursework in mechanical design, electronics, and manufacturing processes
    • Hands-on experience with various tools and basic machining equipment
    • Proficiency in SolidWorks
    • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical systems and components
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
    • Good time management and organizational skills
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

    The right candidate will be passionate about manufacturing, eager to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, and ready to contribute fresh ideas to our team. They should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and excited about the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of manufacturing engineering.

    Requirements:

    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field
    • Ability to commit to a full-time internship for the duration of the program (e.g., 2-4 months)
    • Willingness to adhere to all company safety policies and procedures

    Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in SolidWorks
    • Hands-on experience with common tools and basic machining equipment
    • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical systems and components
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    • Experience with data analysis and report writing
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies and processes

    Additional Information

    Pay range: $20.70-$23.50/hour
