Supply / Inventory Specialist – TEMP POSITION - North Carolina Hurricane Support

Job Overview:

Supply / Inventory Specialist functions as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team. Is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and stock movements. They are responsible for ensuring that inventory levels are sufficient to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs. They provide accurate reporting of sheltering activity as assigned.

Each applicant interested in supporting in North Carolina will need to be ready to deploy and arrive at the designated site within 24-48 hrs. from the time of notice. Each applicant will need to complete an onboarding packet. It is uncertain as to the locations where personnel will be needed but will be located at staging areas established by State Agencies in various regions of the state.

Labor Rates: The following rate includes labor wages, lodging, per diem, and travel.

Case Manager Rate: $28/hr.

Overtime Rate: Time and a half

Shift: Up to 12 hrs./day – Up to 7 days/week

Location: TBD

Duties:

• Keeps track of the goods and supplies in a store or warehouse and manages orders.
• Signing off shipments, counting the number of available products, and placing orders for more inventory according to demand.

Requirements:.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 yrs. experience in inventory management or similar roles.
• Proficiency in using computerized inventory systems, Microsoft Excel, and other inventory management software.
• The ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain the flow of inventory. 
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform assigned tasks/be drug-free.
• Able to participate and contribute to regular meetings.
• Able to interact with the community in a clear, compassionate manner, respectful of diversity and unique needs.
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand and bend for long periods.
• Pass a level 1 background check.
• Background in health care, and social work.
• Demonstrated experience within a customer service environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
