Schedule for the Surgical Dental Assistant

• Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities and Requirements of the Surgical Dental Assistant

• 1+ years of dental experience is required

• Hand instruments and supplies to the dentist during procedures.

• Utilize suction hoses and other equipment to keep the patient’s mouth clear and maintain a clean surgical area.

• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and arranged for each procedure.

• Prepare patients for surgery, including taking medical history and vital signs.

• Explain surgical procedures to patients to alleviate anxieties and ensure understanding.

• Document procedural notes and maintain accurate patient records.

• Take X-rays and CBCT scans
