A busy Neurosurgery Practice looking for a Medical Assistant/Surgical Scheduler with experience in scheduling surgical procedures and coordinating with multiple facilities.
Keep patient records
Surgical scheduling
Verifying surgical codes and obtaining authorizations
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Manage patient pre-op responsibilities, and generate all necessary paperwork
Provide patients information; explanations of treatment plans, post-operative instructions
Answer telephone calls, return patient messages in a timely fashion
Obtain reporting for surgical procedures
data entry
assist physician or extenders if needed
Schedule post-op appointments
Go over patient responsibilities with patient and collect surgery deposits
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments
Commitment to providing quality patient care
At least two years experience scheduling surgical procedures and obtaining surgical authorizations is a must
Must be able to travel to both of our locations, lake Worth and Jupiter.
