A leading organization in the surveying and construction industry is seeking an experienced and motivated Recruiter to join its team. This role is responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top surveying professionals for land development and construction projects. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the industry, excellent networking skills, and the ability to match top talent with the right opportunities.
Key Responsibilities Recruitment Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract skilled surveyors, including land surveyors, party chiefs, and survey technicians.
- Source, identify, screen, interview, and secure candidates in a highly competitive market.
- Build and maintain relationships with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and hiring priorities.
- Utilize various sourcing methods, including social media, job boards, industry networks, and direct outreach, to identify top talent.
- Ensure a seamless and engaging candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
Industry Expertise & Market Awareness
- Maintain a strong understanding of surveying roles, industry certifications, and market trends.
- Stay informed on business policies, project initiatives, and key industry competitors.
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships within the surveying industry to build a strong talent pipeline.
Communication & Collaboration
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and provide insights on market conditions.
- Maintain regular communication with leadership, providing updates on recruitment progress and key metrics.
- Ensure transparency and accountability in hiring decisions through structured reporting and collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably within the surveying, land development, or AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industries.
- Proven success in sourcing passive candidates and executing high-volume recruitment strategies.
- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms; experience with UKG and iCIMS preferred.
- Strong knowledge of EEO legislation, OFCCP compliance, and other relevant staffing regulations.
Success Metrics & Competencies - Ability to meet KPIs, including time-to-fill, candidate quality, and hiring manager satisfaction.
- Strong work ethic, adaptability, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective management of multiple requisitions while maintaining high levels of service and candidate engagement.
