Surveying Crew Chief

A trusted provider of engineering, surveying, and construction materials testing solutions is seeking an experienced Surveying Crew Chief to join our team. This role is responsible for leading daily surveying and staking tasks under the direction of the Survey Coordinator, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and train rodmen to ensure efficient field operations.
• Perform daily surveying and staking assignments as directed.
• Maintain strong client relationships, providing regular progress updates and ensuring work orders are completed as required.
• Maintain detailed daily journals of work performed and hours logged for both the Crew Chief and rodman.
• Keep survey equipment and vehicles clean, organized, and in proper working condition.
• Foster a professional and collaborative work environment with colleagues and clients.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand and execute written instructions, procedures, and calculations.

Requirements:

• Completion of a training and evaluation period (30 to 90 days, based on experience).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in surveying and/or staking.
• Advanced knowledge of field survey practices and equipment.
• Strong work ethic with punctual and reliable attendance.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive salary range: $75,000 – $85,000, based on experience.
