    Description: The Sushi Cook is a skilled culinary professional dedicated to preparing exquisite sushi dishes with precision and artistry. Working closely with the Sushi Chef and other kitchen staff, they contribute to the creation of visually stunning and delicious sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. In addition to their primary duties, Sushi Cooks assist with various tasks in the back of the house, including dishwashing and cleaning, to maintain a sanitary and efficient kitchen environment. It's important to note that Sushi Cooks do not earn tips but are valued for their contributions to culinary excellence.

    Responsibilities:

    Assist in the preparation of sushi ingredients, including slicing fish, rolling sushi rice, and assembling sushi rolls with precision and creativity.

    Work closely with the Sushi Chef to ensure all sushi dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and food safety.

    Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi bar area, including equipment and utensils.

    Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of stock and storage of ingredients.

    Help with general kitchen duties, including dishwashing, cleaning, and sanitizing surfaces.

    Support kitchen staff during peak periods by assisting with food preparation tasks as needed.

    Follow instructions from the Sushi Chef and Kitchen Manager to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.

    Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

    Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor while performing duties in a fast-paced environment.
