  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    This is a remote internship for Summer 2025.

    Intern will conduct data analysis for manufacturing facilities where energy efficiency measures were implemented to characterize resulting cost takeout and energy savings gained. Fellow will also partner with the Energy Management SME to identify process areas of manufacturing with increased levels of energy consumption. The data will be utilized to generate heat maps of the manufacturing process and analyzed to identify the following: impactful conservation activities, increased energy efficiencies, return on investments and improvements to employee's workspace. Armed with these analyses, Fellow will generate an Energy Conservation Playbook (with best practices, focus areas and simple implementation frameworks) to guide future initiatives. Fellow will have the opportunity to utilize playbook by participating in energy-centric Kaizen events at selected manufacturing facilities.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Seeking a graduate degree in engineering or related field
    • Have manufacturing knowledge/experience
    • Familiarity with process mapping and associated energy consumption

    Preferred:

    • Strong mathematical skills
    • Kaizen (10 Principles)/Lean Manufacturing experience
